People see psychologists for a range of different reasons, and they use therapy as a tool to help them during times when they are not coping as well as they would like.  At the moment your issues may feel overwhelming or never ending, but you are not alone. Together with your psychologist you will work towards achieving your goals, and getting into a better place. What is involved with Individual therapy is you will discuss your current concerns, then together with your psychologist you will look at what factors are contributing to or maintaining these concerns. Therapy strategies, skills and tools will be tailored to your concerns in order to assist you to better manage the challenges that you are facing.

If you would like to book an appointment for yourself or for a client please call on 07 3379 8849 or on the Contacts page you can submit an online enquiry.

Linda Jenkins, Psychologist

I know that coming to see a psychologist for the first time can be daunting or overwhelming, or sometimes it can bring a sense of relief for taking that first step. Your first appointment will be a getting to know you session. This will provide us with shared information about the difficulties that you are experiencing that led you to reach out to get some guidance, and assist us to establish a therapeutic relationship that will help you achieve your goals. I have a firm and direct but supportive approach, and I see the opportunity to work with you as a privilege which I do not take lightly.

I began my career as a psychological researcher before obtaining my Master's qualification to become a clinical psychologist. I have spent most of the last two decades working with individuals with a range of difficulties including depression, stress, anxiety, anger management, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and pain management. I utilise evidence-based and best practice therapeutic interventions including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to suit your needs. I am committed to ongoing professional development.

  • Bachelor of Arts (Honours)
  • Master of Clinical Psychology
  • Member - Australian Psychological Society (APS), and APS College of Clinical Psychologists
  • Psychologists Board of Australia Full Registration

Outside of the workplace, I enjoy exploring the brunch scene of Brisbane and southeast Queensland, in addition to a theatre show or two. As a mother of adult twin daughters, I know what it is like to be busy and try to figure out that work-life balance while the universe tries to test your resolve at times.
